Joel Pimentel De León is of Mexican descent. He finished high school in June 2017. Joel appeared in La Banda with the song "Cien Ovejas" that his grandfather taught him that did not please the judges, which did not favor him, but the judges allowed him to sing another song, which was "I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran. He was the third member selected with the most votes from the public to join CNCO.
