Katerina Kaskanioti started her carrier in the film industry as a production manager and few years later she moved up to a top executive in one of the largest media and telecommunication companies in Greece, namely NOVA.
As head of NOVA's first digital pay television in Greece and Cyprus, for more than 20 years she cooperated closely with Hollywood studios (Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, Disney, MGM ) and internationally acclaimed film distributors.
She negotiated and financed multiple content deals while she authorized the co-production of 135 Greek feature films including the most prominent and awarded Greek titles of the last two decades.
Initiated major changes is the media landscape while she produced over 1000 live hours of televised program.
Fostered change in Greek society culture towards gender equality and promoted women's empowerment through special film tributes, speeches in forums and various other initiatives related to women's presence in film and sports industries.
Since January 2022 she is Executive Producer at Central Athens Film Productions. She has been elected President of WIFT GR (Women in Film and Television Greece).
