Lucas Walzer is a filmmaker, author, and influencer. His debut novel, "The Sound of Wind," was published on July 29th, 2023, and was met with critical acclaim, including being a winner of the 2024 PenCraft Seasonal Book Award Winter Competition. He later wrote and directed his debut short film, "The Playwright's Lover," which premiered on October 3rd, 2025, at the New York State International Film Festival, winning the Viewer's Choice Award. His experimental short, "Fallen Petals," wrapped production soon after, premiering on March 28th, 2026, at the Albany Film Festival. Walzer's narratives are defined by his complex female leads and examinations of alienation, identity, and man's search for meaning; his writing style can be described as "witty" and "rhythmic," along with a directing style consisting of long-takes and a picturesque mise en scène.
