Mantalena Papadatou

Mantalena is a Greek actress who graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York with a scholarship in 2015. Before she moved to NY she had already received her BA in Communication and Mass Media from the Kapodistrean University of Athens in 2013. She is one of the co-founders of the non-profit theater company Deus Ex Machina New York Theater Group previous F2T's. She has appeared in multiple Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions among them the show "Anna and Vladimir" for which she received the UNESCO award in 2016. Mantalena also has a strong presence in the Greek Community Theater scene where she collaborated with Greek Cultural Center in several productions such as Tied Red Thread, Sons and Daughters, The Interview, The spitting Image of the departed. In film she has appeared and starred in multiple indie productions most notable the film "5 cents a piece" which was selected by the Sparrow Film Project to be screened in the Museum of Moving Image and the film "Unfinished Business" (NYIFF official selection). Recently, Mantalena acted in the feature film "Precious and Few" which is now in post-production.
