Marge Dean is an Emmy®-winning producer and executive in the animation industry. As the Head of Animation Studio at Skybound Entertainment, she oversees the development and production of original animated content, including the acclaimed series Invincible for Amazon Prime .
Known for her expertise in building studios and animation pipelines, Dean has played a pivotal role in designing or redesigning several studios, including Columbia-TriStar TV, Warner Brothers Animation, Mattel’s Playground Productions, Omation (Steve Oedekerk), Technicolor Animation, and Wildbrain Entertainment .
Prior to her tenure at Skybound, Dean served as the Head of Crunchyroll Studios, the largest anime streaming platform globally, where she supervised the production and development of Crunchyroll Original series premiering in 2020 .
In 2014, Dean, along with a group of women, revitalized the non-profit advocacy group Women in Animation (WIA), increasing its membership from 120 to over 4,500 in five years. Under her leadership, WIA has grown into a world-class organization impacting the lives of creative women, transgender, and non-binary individuals in the animation industry .
