Documents three decades of club dance in the Netherlands. The stories of key players such as pioneers Eddy de Clercq, Joost van Bellen and Paul Elstak, successful entrepreneurs such as Duncan Stutterheim and Wouter Tavecchio and megastars such as Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten are supported with unique archive material. Radio DJs spoke of 'the terror of nothingness' in 1988, but ecstasy took over in the clubs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam in no time: the house explosion was a fact. No one could have imagined that this new music movement would eventually even grow into one of the Netherlands' largest exports.
