Return of the documentary following the work of medical staff at Stoke's Royal University Hospital, as they strive to save the lives of sick and injured patients. A one-punch attack in the street leaves a man with a potentially devastating head injury, and trauma team leader Richard quickly realises he needs to perform emergency surgery on a bleed inside his brain. A young man arrives with multiple broken bones and suspected internal injuries following a motorbike accident, while a factory worker hopes the team can save his arm after a horrific accident with a circular saw.
