Just before the 2nd world war breaks out two Jewish sisters from Vienna are sent to live in Sweden. It's only meant to be for a short while, but in Europe things just get worse. On the small island off the cost of neutral Sweden the girls grow up safe, but must live with the uncertainty of the future and the growing fear for their parents' lives. It seams the war will never end.
