Virginia threatens Lúcia/Alika, who vents to Salma. Lúcia/Alika goes with Tonho to Dona Menina's house, who assures them that they are not siblings. Alika confesses to Teresa that Tonho stirred her heart. Guided by Graça, Mirinho wins Virginia back, and Sebastião is disappointed. Tonho declares his feelings for Lúcia/Alika.
