Erlangen University Hospital - maternity ward: Around 2,500 newborns are born here every year - that's an average of seven babies a day. Today, Linda and Christian are waiting for the birth of their second child. The little one is to be born by Caesarean section. And in the emergency room at Erlangen University Hospital, assistant physician Dr. Luise Gaede has to attend to a patient with cardiac arrhythmia who has been suffering from atrial fibrillation for several years.
