Cleo Anson dies in in unfortunate car crash, surprisingly, she ends up in a place not full of clouds and flames. The afterlife. She meets Mikaylus, who helps her navigate the world after accidentally crashing into her when riding his horse. They then meet Asher and Jasmine, who seem to be arguing about being lost in a place they shouldn't be in. The four all become friends, partners in crime.

A Strange New WorldCleo Anson ends up in a car crash that is deadly; it kills her. She ends up in the Afterlife and meets Mikaylus. While navigating through the forest with Mikaylus, Cleo makes two friends, Asher and Jasmine. They have discussions about the four kingdoms: Cerevaux, Aminour, Alynthi, and Velaris. Jasmine explains that if all kingdoms were ruled by one kingdom, it would be chaos. Queen Caspian refers to something that she must deal with; she must put a stop to something before it all gets out of hand. Queen Caspian gets a flashback of her younger self with her father and something to do with a magical necklace.
