The colonel is delighted to have Tiene De Vijlder sign her PR contract. He charges adjutant Maurice Haegeman with showing her around Maurice the fire station, during gym so she can clearly enjoy the muscular men show off. Rookie Wim Van der Straeten gets a second baptism, not be fire but water, as diver for a corpse in the canal, which proves dangerous as a German ship wasn't instructed timely to keep away, while a beam gives way so the victim's ship can move towards him.
