Bipolar disorder will affect an estimated 4.4% of the adult population in the US, but health agencies are still only scratching the surface of proper treatment for the condition. Some people, like Bonnie, find help through the kindness of individuals like Mother Nicole; some people, like Timothy F., are offered assistance only once they're in prison; and there are those, like Timothy T., who wander the streets with no support structure.
