After the tension of the preproduction, the play finally takes to the stage. Aubin, full of his own importance just can't help himself and performs in the play he has written and is directing, much to the chagrin of Violet and especially James. As the play continues on, Violet begins to see the parallels between herself and the character she is portraying . It begins to dawn on her that she too, like the character she is portraying, must make some critical life decisions and take a stand, otherwise, despite a clingy boyfriend who has left her to her own devices and a very supportive costar in James, Aubin just may decide to play every role himself, despite what is best for the play .... AND the audience!!!
