Almost fifty years after her death, Josephine Baker (1906-1975) is in the spotlight. Her special life is the reason for, among other things, a musical, a drama series and an exhibition in the Resistance Museum. Baker was way ahead of her time in thinking and acting. Raised in poverty in America, she broke through as an artist in France in the 1920s. But perhaps her heroic exploits as a spy in World War II and her ongoing fight against racism are what make the biggest impression. Other Times travels to the castle of Milandes, where Josephine Baker created her own world, with her twelve adopted 'rainbow children'.
