In 1963, a group of fifty Palestinians arrived in Vlaardingen to work temporarily in a margarine factory. But when the Six-Day War broke out in 1967 and Israel occupied the West Bank, they could no longer return home. Fifty years later, their children, who grew up in Vlaardingen, look back on the history of the Palestinians in the Netherlands, at a life between hope and fear with a constant war in the country where their parents come from.
