As Zack proceeds deeper into the floor, Rachel witnesses more items that trigger her memories, and she faints. Danny then arrives and locks Zack out of the room Rachel is in, offering to unlock it only when Zack fully explores the floor and finds out Rachel's past. Zack reluctantly begins exploring the rest of the floor, fighting his way through various traps until he is met by Gray. Gray reveals that he controls the entire the building, and uses it as a way to study and observe people who believe in God, with Rachel as his current subject. In order to test them, he put his "Angels" Danny, Eddie, Cathy, and Zack himself on each floor. Gray then reveals that he's become interested in Zack and Rachel's relationship, and provides Zack with a clue on how to proceed. Meanwhile, Rachel wakes up and is shocked to see Zack investigating the floor. Zack enters what is revealed to be Rachel's room, where he views a recorded news report saying that Rachel's parents were murdered while she was found at the scene unharmed, implying Rachel murdered her own parents.
