MafiaThe Accidental Reunion Two years ago, Judy-a high-ranking undercover cop-was forced to abandon her fiancé, Federico, leaving him with nothing but a cold breakup note. At the time, Federico was a "clean" civilian. However, the heartbreak drove him into the darkness, and he spent the next two years transforming into the feared "Ghost Don" of the city's syndicate. The story picks up when Judy is assigned to go undercover as a waitress at a high-end restaurant to get close to a mysterious Mafia target. Crucially, neither knows the other is there. Judy is shocked to find that the "target" she is supposed to investigate is her ex-fiancé, and Federico is stunned to find the woman who broke his heart serving his tables. Once the shock wears off, Federico uses his power as the restaurant owner to keep Judy close, often flaunting his new "fiancée," the toxic heiress Sophia Williams, to mask his unresolved pain. The Undercover Chaos While Judy tries to balance her mission and her lingering feelings, the situation devolves into high-stakes absurdity: The "Fetish" Cover: To explain why Judy has police handcuffs, Federico tells a fellow mobster she's not a cop, but just has a "kink" for cuffs. The Spy Bunny: Judy's home is bugged with cameras and a listening device hidden in a teddy bear. During a passionate afternoon reunion, she has to toss the "spy bunny" off the bed to get a moment of true privacy. The Acapella Anthem: When Federico finds her blinking earpiece, Judy's police team-led by her handler Miss Collins-has to sing the National Anthem acapella into the wire to pass the noise off as experimental music. The "Clean" Reveal and The Traitor During a rooftop sniper attack, Judy takes a bullet to the shoulder to save Federico. In the aftermath, she learns the truth: Federico joined the Mafia only because he lost her, and he has spent his time as Don making the business legitimate. He has never actually killed anyone. Meanwhile, the real threat is his cousin Douglas, who is plotting a coup. The Finale: Cuffed for Life On Election Day, Judy goes rogue to save Federico from Douglas's assassination plot. She thwarts the coup, survives a final gunshot from a jealous Sophia thanks to an FBI bulletproof vest, and reveals her badge. Federico, realizing Judy was actually protecting him, forgives her. The series ends with an elegant wedding. Instead of traditional rings, Judy handcuffs Federico to her at the altar, declaring that after two years of running, he is finally "Cuffed for Life."
