Meirin comes under the biggest fir tree in town, where she once made happy memories with Asuka, but is attacked by him there. Even when she shows Asuka the locket she once gave him for his birthday, Asuka's aggressive attitude remains unchanged. Just as Asuka's knife is about to slice through Meirin's neck, Tokiwa and the others rush in and start fighting Asuka again. In the end, Tokiwa and the others are no match for Asuka.
