One day, Fujimaki Daisuke, a dull middle-aged salaryman who works for a trading company, is ordered to "temporarily transfer" to Asunaro University's cheering squad instead of getting laid off, on the grounds that the cheering squad of company president's alma mater is on the verge of being dissolved. At an assembly where the old boys are gathered, the secretary general announces that Fujimaki will be accepted and made the head of the cheering squad. He is thrown into the squad. As he gets antiquated customs "Always have your school uniform on", "Reply 'Ossu'", "A senior's word is the law" drilled into him by old boy Saito Yuichi, he becomes hooked on the depth of the philosophy of supporting people in a visceral way.
