This three-part series looks at the one in ten cases where things don't go to plan and a baby is left teetering between life and death. The intensive care unit at Liverpool Women's Hospital cares for 1,000 sick and premature babies a year and while the majority of babies survive, there are also many stories of tragic and heart-wrenching loss.

    Episode 3A young couple could have to pay a £175,000 bill for their son's care in the neonatal unit. The couple from Kuwait, were on holiday visiting family in Liverpool when the woman gave birth at 25 weeks.
