Raising Sons

Fathers and mothers have been charged by God with the responsibility to raise Godly sons. The starting place, of course, is the Father needs to have a solid relationship with God. After that, fathers need to have a strong relationship with their wives. Only then will sons be in a position to learn what it means to be a strong, Godly man in the changing realities of the world. A good dad will ask questions to their sons that openly address things like pornography, dating, drugs, dealing with stress, etc. Sons need to learn that men are not doomed to give in to sin, but to live in the reality of God's kingdom. This reality must be grounded in dignity, virtue, and Godliness. By establishing this, fathers ensure the family is secure and grounded in God's reality.
