Tales of rivalry and friendship between two families, one from Southern Italy and one from Milan, who own restaurants on the same square in Milan. Although they have different philosophies, the two chefs challenge with no mercy in order to get their first Michelin star, just when the other members of the families begin to become friends.

Su al NordFamily Perrone, who owns a restaurant in Pollica, Southern Italy, moves to Milan to open a new restaurant, just in front of another fine restaurant owned by Milan family Conforti. Chef Carlo Conforti was right dealing to buy the inn across the square to open his own restaurant, in order to gain independence from his father-in-law. This will lead to a conflict between the two families.
