An experienced crisis manager, Vyacheslav Vasilev, who successfully completed a mission in Warsaw two years earlier, arrives in Berlin to replace the expelled Russian diplomats. His main task is not only to ensure the functioning of the empty embassy, but also to prevent a growing global conflict in Europe. As in Poland, in Germany he will have to work in tandem with special services operative Sergey Nenashev. Vasilev is responsible for the diplomatic part of the task; Nenashev will act in his usual role as an illegal. Their past conflicts are behind them - they have worked well together, and Vasilev is grateful to his partner for saving his daughter. According to the Russian side, German Defense Minister Becker, secretly from his own government, is preparing a secret arsenal and mercenaries to participate in the war against Russia. Risking their lives and reputations, Nenashev and Vasilev will try to uncover a conspiracy by Western special services and prevent the opening of an alternative all-out front against Russia.
