Sam has a party. Included in attendance is her teenaged daughter Max's 30-something-year-old boyfriend. Max finally admits to Sam that she's in way over her head in this adult relationship but doesn't know how to break it off. Sam sends Max to her room. While Max is in her room avoiding the situation, Sam breaks up with Max's boyfriend for her.
