The author Ian Fleming was a spy and a womanizer--and he liked his martinis shaken, not stirred. A member of the British aristocracy, he was also a journalist, banker, and military man who wrote his first Bond novel at age 43. Over the next 11 years, he wrote 13 more Bond tales, and even a popular children's book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
