When an elderly woman is pushed out of a hospital by her doctor son due to overcrowding, she retreats to her remote cottage. A sudden landslide traps her without food or water. Black Jack, learning of her situation through Pinoko and Sharaku, risks his life to rescue her. Confronting the son, Black Jack forces him to face the consequences of neglecting family for protocol. The woman survives, and the experience rekindles the son's compassion.
