Episode 3hannel 5’s new makeover series in which Linda Barker has just over a week and a strict budget of £5,000 to effect a stunning transformation comes to an end. In this episode, Linda helps a DIY-phobic couple drag their semi-detached home out of the dark ages. Caroline and Sean bought a three-bedroomed semi-detached house seven years ago. They moved in with their son Jack when Caroline was pregnant with twins and had big ideas about revamping the place – none of which have yet come to fruition. “It’s just embarrassing,” says Sean of the bathroom. “We don’t want people using it.” The room’s less attractive features include mould, exposed pipes, filthy radiators and design values from the 1970s. “I just want the complete opposite of what I’ve got,” says Caroline, as she shows Linda round her dark, dated kitchen. Will Linda be able to transform their house into the home of their dreams?
