They unpack and confront the cultural, language, and generational barriers in their lives as they forge a path for others to follow. In an era where anti-Asian discrimination is a pressing issue, Breaking Ground hopes to facilitate thoughtful conversation about the visibility of being Asian.

Brittany's mother was her connection to her Vietnamese roots and to her extended family. After losing her mother to cancer before graduating high school, that was severed . Now, as she tries to make a reconnection, she reflects on what it really means to be "authentically" Asian.
