A look at the technologies of the MSC Bellissima, one of the world's largest cruise ships. This documentary follows Bellissima on a single eight-day journey around Spain, France, Italy and Malta. The voyage begins at Barcelona and moves on to Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina and Valletta. The ship's super-sized steel box construction allows it to sail high in the water and to slip into the shallowest ports, while precision-engineered propellers made from a super corrosion-resistant alloy thrust it forwards with minimal noise, so the 7,000 passengers and crew can fully enjoy the trip.
