A trainee nurse at a care home has a baptism of fire when an old man in her charge dies suddenly. A very disturbed young man goes for a night run in just his underpants and later at casualty holds his mother hostage at knifepoint - man of action Trevor intervenes. Jude catches Daniel taking anti depressants and surmises that he is self prescribing. A young woman is knocked down by a motorcyclist which jeopardises her chances of donating bone marrow to her daughter. Rachel & Mike run off into the night together.
