The heroes are able to retrieve the ruby in order to clear Drake and Plato but their heroic deed doesn't go as planned when Nimnul makes off with the ruby and Plato is framed by Fat Cat for trying to attack Mrs. Clutchcoin's pet. Chip, Dale, and Gadget head off to the pound to free Plato without Monterey's help. During their mission the heroes realize that they must work together as an effective team in order to make their mission a success.
