Tom Reilly received a dire diagnosis: he had an aggressive form of melanoma that was almost always fatal. Matthew Zwahlen’s mom and dad got the news no parents are prepared to hear: their toddler had developed neuroblastoma, an often deadly form of cancer. But there was good news for both patients as well: a new type of treatment might help.
