Covers the years 1917-1921, i.e. the entire Russian civil war. It starts with the deposition of the Russian Tsar Nicholas II and ends with the victory of the Bolsheviks over the last attempts of the (anti-communist) white army to regain the wheel. With great attention to detail, many scenes of this war have been recreated in backdrops. The transition from St. Petersburg to Petrograd and finally to Leningrad are very well explained. The Russian Duma, its dissolution and temporary reconstitution are excitingly staged.
