Jack gives Len a drink after hours, delaying his return. When he finally gets home, a terrified Elsie calls out for his help. She thinks her stalker has cut the lights out on her and Len has to explain what's happened. The power is restored as Len calms her down. Ken and Val take a sobbing Alice and her belongings in. They think Albert is callous. Gordon thinks the neighbours are prejudiced against him because of Lucille. Len catches Arthur Green taking notes in the street and discovers that both he knows his name and that he's a private investigator.
