He tells her that he's after a new job in Zaire. Hilda brings Deirdre home a sexy dress and she sets the temperature rising in the Rovers. Hilda discovers Stan has had lodgers when Michael Ryan calls for Dolores. Ron tells Maggie that he's been dry for two years - she is delighted. Hilda tells Stan he's not having any of her money to pay his fines which he estimates will be £200. Alf proposes to a shocked Maggie.
