Les persuades Chesney to go out, saying he'll ring him as soon as the kidnappers call. Both Katy and Martin are worried how Tommy is going to react after being put in his place in the Rovers. Craig is upset when Tommy is fuming about what he is going to do to Martin at the Harrises house. Cilla tricks Les and tells him that the kidnappers phoned her mobile and she must go alone to drop off the ransom money collected together from Fiz, Kirk and Les. Ken explains to Blanche and Deirdre about the financial benefits of marriage, with reference to him tearing up his will.
