Elena Danilova is a talented artist and a happy woman. She has a large, comfortable home, a loving husband, Sergey, and a son, Egorka. Sergey was recently appointed branch director and began missing work frequently. But one day, Sergey decides to leave his family for his new, young secretary, Nastya. He files for divorce and, through the courts, takes their son away from Elena. Elena's desperate situation is suddenly saved by her homewrecker. Nastya offers to return her son to Lena and promises to defend her in court. Together, they manage to bring Egorka back. But soon Nastya disappears without a trace, and Lena is summoned for questioning.
