Many experts agree that as an island nation, some of Japan's greatest threats come from the sea. In particular, the dispute with China over the Senkaku Islands has become increasingly tense. What is the current state of the Senkaku Islands dispute and could there be a potential for military conflict? We will analyze the issues surrounding these tensions from the perspective of the Japan Self Defense Force and U.S. Armed Forces.
