Berlin's streets are drowning in illegally piled heaps of bulky waste: a business model for bogus garbage collectors wreaking havoc in Berlin. These brazen con artists are particularly targeting unsuspecting, vulnerable seniors. When the retired couple Janis (Jürgen Haug) and Christel (Eva Weißenborn) fall victim to this very scam, Captain Werner Träsch (Uwe Ochsenknecht) feels compelled to make amends, as he unwittingly gave them the crucial tip, which turns out to be a deceptively realistic fake website. Behind the scam are petty criminals Radek (Christian Bojidar) and Timo (Jan Andreesen), who, disguised as garbage collectors, are profiting from the bulky waste business and are difficult to prosecute. But now the captain, along with his outraged comrades Tarik (Aram Arami) and Motte (Marc Oliver Schulze), sets out to put an end to the fake garbage collectors and save the reputation, honor, and morals of his profession. Their boss, Dorn (Rainer Strecker), is banking on a social media campaign and the support of an aspiring influencer for the bulky waste collection issue: Lisa (Katharina Hirschberg), the 18-year-old niece of Specki (Frank Kessler), is hired by the garbage collectors. Meanwhile, Werner and Dorn are hatching a plot to catch Radek and Timo red-handed: Kowalski (Axel Werner) will act as bait for the con artists.
