Germany is a nation of renters: More than 50 percent of the population lives in rented accommodation. Housing construction has stalled, speculators are driving up prices, and affordable homes are disappearing from the market. What needs to change to overcome the housing crisis? As part of an ARD public participation campaign, renters across Germany share their experiences and ideas for improvement.
