Pablo the "Gitano" gets four days leave from Rebibbia prison and, in the company of his woman, steals a luxury sedan that he exchanges for a gun from a fence to rob a jewelry store. Mauro recognizes the robber following the jeweler's complaint: he was a childhood friend of his, Paolo Acerri, known as Pablo the Gitano. The boys of the district are now busy capturing him. Giovanna understands that she has become a personal target of Vito Tonnara who wants her dead to avenge the death of his son.
Mauro and Valeria finally manage to find Pablo the "Gitano"'s hideout, but with Mauro in handcuffs, he manages to escape with a hostage. Only later, after a tight chase, will the police be able to catch the criminal. Tonnara is in Rome and Scalise finds out about this. Meanwhile, Ingargiola forces Vittoria's criminal boyfriend to leave her alone: she is desperate.
