Teen love manga artist Akane Fukunaga is on the precipice of acclaim, with no series of her own and no renewal of the flat she lives in. Having little experience of romance, she can't come up with any exciting stories at all. Then Akane meets Naoya Takashiro, an elite good-looking man who works for a prestigious company but is a younger bum with a bad womanising habit, and starts living with him to use him as a "reference material".
