The Doctor faces the ultimate test when he is tasked with locating and destroying The Heart of Time. In the first part of the epic three part series finale, the high council of Gallifrey calls on the Doctor after learning that the secret of the Heart of Time has been revealed to him by an other worldly being. The Doctor's task is simple find both fragments of the Heart of Time and return them to Gallifrey so that they can finally be destroyed but things are never that simple.
