The Doctor is kidnapped by an emperor who witnessed his actions in the last Time War. He tortures the Doctor mentally to a point we've never seen this Doctor do before. Meanwhile Amy is in danger from Clockwork Dolls and far away, lost in space and time an old friend is dying, desperately trying to contact the Doctor.
