Katharina's enviable life is mixed up with a single word: Sylt. She is supposed to research the story of a remarkable woman on the island for a bestselling author. But for Katharina, too, the shadows of the past lurk on Sylt: on the one hand, her chaotic sister Inken, on the other hand, her great love Hennes - who left her sitting in front of the altar at the time. Katharina accepts de Jong's assignment anyway - after all, she is a grown woman.
