During World War II, Phaen, a poor girl from Ayutthaya, escapes her abusive home and follows a rich family to Bangkok. Starting out as a maid, her ambition drives her to build fame and wealth as an actor, but ambition and pride make her insatiable. One woman becomes the target of her jealous wrath when she becomes an obstacle in Phaen's bid for one man's heart.
