Successful surgeon Mariya Lushnikova is a tough, strong-willed and purposeful woman who never believed in healing. After her beloved man betrayed her, she cursed him in her heart, and he died in an accident. Not connecting these two events in any way, Masha continues to work, but suddenly her arm fails, which cannot be cured. Her career is at risk. Seeing her daughter's despair, her mother advises Mariya to go to the healer Evdokiya in the distant village of Grachi. Not believing in success, Mariya goes to the healer, but the meeting ends completely differently than Lushnikova expected - Evdokiya dies in her arms. And before his death, he passes on his gift to her. A professional psychologist Vadim Kizhuch, who has been exposing charlatans for several years, becomes a witness to this. Masha becomes a prisoner of her gift: she cannot leave Grachi.
