Del takes David to The Woolpack for dinner and after he forms an instant bond with Zak, she think Zak could be his father. Eric notices David's closeness with the Dingles and is convinced they are colluding to stitch him up. Eric aggressively approaches David outside the pub thinking he's a tax inspector but Zak steps in, telling him to leave his son alone. During an operation Paddy loses his confidence as a vet and walks out of the surgery. He decides to take a back seat at the surgery and takes the rest of the week off asking Jo to get a locum in. Marlon tries to cheer Paddy up by taking him, Donna and Toni Christmas shopping but there's more bad luck in store for the inauspicious vet. Meanwhile, Kelly’s not impressed when Emily insists they all pull their weight with the cleaning and draws up a rota. When Kelly won’t help clean the windows Paul reverts to school boy tactic to get her to pitch in.
