S40 • E293 Dec 15, 2011Cain stirs in hospital but remains critical. Aaron starts talking of revenge but Zak won't hear a word of it and warns Aaron not to follow the same path as Cain. Nothing's changed as far as Zak's concerned. Meanwhile, a tearful Laurel goes to see Nicola and confesses that she had an affair with Marlon. Nicola struggles to get her head round what Laurel is telling her, but advises that she can't stay with Ashley out of loyalty. Laurel is conflicted when Nicola tells her that there's no point lying to herself if she loves Marlon. Elsewhere, John heads out like a man on a mission the moment he hears Cain is awake, while Val wants to go and see the baby, knowing it's a hollow victory when Amy agrees that she can but she doesn't want to be involved.
